Spherical ADCP Buoys
Manufactured from high-performance DeepTec® syntactic foam and fitted with 316L stainless steel and titanium hardware, DeepWater Buoyancy spherical ADCP Buoys are designed to outperform and outlast conventional mooring flotation. Available with depth ratings from 200m to 6000m, they require minimal maintenance and are extremely durable under the most rigorous deepwater conditions.

Elliptical ADCP Buoys
These buoys have the same rugged design as the spherical ADCP buoys, but have an elliptical shape for higher current applications. Available with depth ratings from 200m to 6000m. Though the DeepWater Buoyancy standard elliptical ADCP buoys can accommodate Nortek AWACs and ADCPs, we have worked together with the Nortek engineering team to develop a custom designed 45” elliptical. For other applications we can offer custom elliptical ADCP buoys to fit your requirements.

ADCP Inline Mooring Frames
Our in-house engineering and metal fabrication capabilities can identify a standard frame for your application or customize one to suit your needs. Working in stainless steel, aluminum or titanium, we can get your frames in line.
In addition to all our standard inline frames we have a number of Nortek-specific frames that we have developed to accommodate your AWAC, ADCP and Aquadopp applications.

ADCP Buoy Frames
Choose one of our many frames for your ADCP buoy and instrument requirements, or work with our in-house engineering team to customize one to suit your needs.
There are standard box frames and extended frames, as well as ring frames for top-of-mooring buoys with center beam ADCPs and AWACs. Have a four tie rod buoy for a four transducer ADCP and want to use it with your Nortek Signature 55 ADCP? No problem. We even have a frame to convert that old buoy and integrate your new instrument.

Bottom Mounts
Diver-Serviceable Bottom Mounts
These are rugged tripod bottom mounts for shallow deployment or diver-serviceable subsea application. The units can be configured to accept your ADCP, battery, CTD, acoustic modem or other instrument. The popular BTM-AL50 is now offered in both welded and collapsible versions.
The DeepWater Buoyancy tripods are the premiere choice for Nortek users. In addition to all the standard features, we have numerous custom features and components for Nortek products.

Trawl-Resistant Bottom Mounts
Designed for use in areas where there are trawling operations, DeepWater Buoyancy TRBMs have a double axis gimbal inside a buoyant recovery pod, and are designed to permit retrieval of all mounted instruments. Our TRBMs are available in depths of over 500 meters. An optional recovery line pack can be provided for recovery of the base for turnaround deployments. We also offer disposable concrete bases.
These TRBMs have been outfitted to accommodate all of the Signature ADCPs.

Benthic Lander
DeepWater Buoyancy’s Benthic Lander allows for deployment of instruments to the seafloor to depths as great as 6000 meters. This design is highly-customizable and can accommodate a variety of instruments. To recover, an acoustic release is activated, dropping a ballast pack and allowing the positively buoyant assembly to rise to the surface.
The latest in DeepWater Buoyancy’s arsenal of bottom mounts, the Benthic Lander can accommodate a host of instruments including Nortek ADCPs.

AquaCross
The AquaCross is a lightweight bottom frame custom designed for the Aquadopp profiler. Made from aluminum u-sections, the unit comes complete with spiked legs and instrument clamps. It is easily disassembled for transport and cost-effective shipping. The AquaCross is designed to be deployed by divers and has proven to be very stable in energetic environments. It is particularly well-suited for regions with soft, flat bottoms.
